Papa Donkasu is yummy

Papa Donkasu - A new order at the counter Japanese place near Kin and comfort in the Hana world market.

Eons ago I asked here if any Austin restaurant served katsudon.

Papa Donkasu's version is yummy, almost as delicious as my favorite place in Boston that had just a little bit more sauce on the bottom.

Traditionally it's made with a pork cutlet on top of the rice bowl goodies. They made it with chicken for me since I just sous vide a pork tenderloin last night.

Their sautéed potstickers meet my definition of a perfect pot sticker.

They also serve takoyaki, those octopus balls with cabbage. At the Mitsukoshi department store in Tokyo, they ran a counter that only served takoyaki over raw cabbage with the sweet sauce. I'll order that from them next time.
