No pantry meal - bringing ingredients over to cook

cait98 | Dec 13, 2011 08:54 AM

I am going to my parents' tonight and have offered to cook for them. I'm going to go to the grocery store beforehand and pick up the ingredients. What should I make?

They seldom cook at home - which is why I am doing this. I assume they have olive oil, salt, pepper, but they probably do not have much else. Assume basically no pantry.

I'm looking for something simple, that does not require a bunch of spices, but healthy-ish and tasty. Something that can be made from what I pick up at the store today.

A pasta dish maybe? A piece of meat and some veggies. But one that's delicious and a tiny bit special.
