Pancakes in Kensington - a new place

Finally a cafe (of sorts) has opened in Kensington. Hooray!

Apparently the Windsor House cafe's been in business for almost 2 months and I've only just ventured off the Church Ave strip to find it! We had the best pancakes (moist, thick) and french toast (fluffy, moist, and well saturated with egg batter) on the weekend. Garnished with real blueberries.

Have not tried their dinner meatloaf yet...anyone else been here in the evening??.

Modest decor and equally modest prices. Last weekend, I had their breakfast platter for $3.65. Furnishings and decorations are rescued from the 70's and 80's in a sincere and not at all hip or intentionally kitch kind of way. Our waitress told us it's run by her fireman brother & their family...Closed for today September 11th.

Located on Fort Hamilton Pkwy around East 3rd Street (close to Ft. Hamilton Pkwy "F" train) on a semi-residential street that includes a pizza place (only $1.50 slice) and a couple of corner stores (ice cream sandwichs 30 cents!).

Two thumbs up.
