Panaceas for the Restaurant-Deprived near Wall Street

1. Cafe Sage, one of the only Thai restaurants down here, will be reopening in two weeks on John Street (it's at Front Street right now). They have a decent shrimp pad thai and will be expanding with an extensive new menu.

2. Orange Peel, which used to be another Japanese restaurant, is a full bar and sake bar with interesting appetizers and maki. It is on Beekman Street and serves grilled eel over seasoned rice, a tuna tartar and yellowtail tartar scallion roll, and a 14-piece sashimi lunch.
