This is probably one of the easier restaurants to book - we selected it primarily because we were closeby, and the other nearby RW restaurant, Inagiku, had gotten poor reports last year. I started with small fish tostadas - 3 little flour tortillas heaped with bits of fried (and not at all greasy) seafood. Very tasty, nice way to start. My companion had a salad topped with manchego cheese and strips of fried corn tortilla.
There were 3 main course choices and I can remember two: huitlacoche crusted salmon and a chicken and cheese quesadilla (the latter was described as something more elaborate than that, but it was basically a quesadilla). We both had the salmon, and it was very good. A good-size serving of a perfectly cooked filet on a bed of creamy spinach mixed with some other veggies. It looked like everyone around us was ordering the same thing.
Dessert was either ice cream or pastel de elote. We both opted for the latter, and each received two wedges of a very moist, slightly sweet corn cake, drizzled with a fruit reduction and topped with ice cream. Very good.
This is a solid choice for restaurant week, especially since lunch entrees are in the $20 range. Service was fine, but I've never been a fan of the decor.
