Thanks to the chowhounds who responded to my Pampano inquiry a few days ago.
I ended up having the white sangria, a quesadilla with red snapper, a chile relleno type of thing with goat cheese inside an anaheim chili pepper with shrimp in a tomato broth, the swiss chard side dish, and a dessert of warm corn cakes with coconut ice cream and hibsicus sauce. The food was lovely and delicious, and the service was excellent. I especially liked the corn cakes dessert.
My only complaint was that the food was not nearly spicy enough. I don't know if the restaurant is afraid that "gringos" don't like really spicy food, or what. But next time I go, I'm going to ask them to make the food spicier, or to tell me what are the spicier items on the menu.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you want upscale Mexian food in a nice atmosphere. Just don't expect a lot of heat.
