Balmy days called for a patio lunch at La Crepe in the Smoketree shopping center at Sunrise and 111. The wonderful was the Moules, really plump and an intense oniony broth (no fries), lots of good bread, the pretty good was the croque monsieur split with plenty of designer salad/vinegrete for two; vichysoisse was tasty but a bit too heavy on the cream. We split a merangue for dessert and that was really first rate, plenty of nuts in the filling. A Happy lunch. Not so for dinner at Riccio's. We had drinks and snacks at home (Albertson's helped with a fresh made cherry tomato and buffalo appetiser plus a spinach dip that was really worth eating). Anyhow Riccio's didn't come through - my rissoto was a gluey lump; the others had osso bucco, chicken with artichokes and baked halibut ALL covered with what seemed to be the same sauce, a really frightening orange color. All the entrees were in the upper $20 region - ie $29, except mine which was $21.
