PALEO AIP FAVORITE RECIPES AND BOOKS

dkennedy | Sep 9, 201507:55 AM     1

I am a mom, culinary school grad, and active COTM participant. I have been riding the Paleo train for some time (with some cheats). I started my journey just over three years ago, and I've never felt better. Cutting out gluten really made a difference for me. When I transitioned from GF to grain free I felt another shift in my health. But dairy and sugar still plague my diet and those are the culprits I find myself trying to justify keeping in recipes. My son has an inflammatory condition, and so we have recently been trying to up the ante, to an AIP friendly menu.

Even for a Paleo family, that is a really hard transition! I need help finding really tasty recipes to help us through this transition. I've been exploring websites and bought a few books, loaded up on fermented foods, probiotics, and supplements, but I think CH may be the best resource for getting a great arsenal of go-to recipes. I know what to do, what not to do, I just need the best of the best recipes.

If you are Paleo, cook Paleo sometimes, or have any experience with the AIP protocol, bookmark this thread. Come back and share your favorite Paleo AIP friendly recipes.

I'll start: grass fed burgers using a mix of chuck meat and regular ground beef, topped with bacon, lettuce, grilled onions, served with an eggless mayo-bbq sauce combo (I need to find a really great AIP mayo recipe, BTW). For now, we eat these on top of a salad for the adults, Udi buns for the kids but I'm seeking out a Paleo AIP bun recipe to make this really special for the kids.

Another: duck confit over bitter greens such as arugula.

FYI, I've started a Paleo AIP Pinterest page with a ton of inspirational recipes tagged from around the internet. I will be trying out these recipes, and if they are successful, I will post the recipes here. Please join me!
