Paicines General Store & Restaurant | Paicines

Melanie Wong | Dec 31, 201702:59 PM     2

A year ago I stopped at the Paicines General Store & Restaurant on my way back from the Panoche Inn that had run out of food to serve. Late on a Sunday afternoon, the store cashier informed me that Paicines kitchen had already closed, but the cook leaves some freshly made bean and cheese burritos in the hot box for visiting stragglers. I was happy to have something warm to eat and it hit the spot once dressed with some fresh salsa.

The restaurant offers a menu of Mexican specialties. The store has tables and chairs for eating inside if you like. The interior and walls tell the history of the general store and the area.

Where is Paicines? It's outside of Hollister on the way to The Pinnacles. It may be the last food for sale before you reach the park.
