Has anyone been to the reopened Padrino's? I'm thinking of taking Dear old Mom there tomorrow night. She adores Italian but hates the tomato sauce drenched Southern Italian-type cuisine. So Vincent's is out.
The alternative is Mosca's but I haven't make a reservation and don't really want to drive across the Huey Long Bridge with the original nag from Nag's head sitting next to me.
I've got a down on Andrea's because I took an Italian food loving client there last week and they didn't have half a dozen of the things we asked about. I was really griped.
She's got a down on Chinese, fried seafood - she once took the crawfish at Franky & Johnny's to the kitchen and insisted that they wash them off in the sink. They did too.
I'm thinking NOLA's for the Saturday lunch with Mama Gina and Mother. Bacco's would be good but too much Italian. We're going to eat at home Saturday evening, my fiancee will be coming over to help me cook something and keep her at bay.
The future in-law's are having us over for Sunday dinner.
I can't even think about next week yet.
