Can you pack fresh truffles when returning from France? I think they can be obtained at farmers' markets in the right region. Should they be tightly wrapped in aluminum foil? I want to buy two or three and prepare truffle oil for Christmas gifts. I also wonder if customs has any special regulations that would prevent me from bringing in truffles, although it's a stretch to imagine that truffles could be contraband. Maybe it would be better to ship them home. Does anyone have suggestions or information?
