Once again, I must give thanks for Limster. Sir, you never steer us wrong. Just back from dim sum at Pacific Garden in Chinatown (downstairs from the Food Court, corner of Beech and Washington, I think). This is definitely the best dim sum I've ever had. We stuck to the shrimp offerings and were blown away by the delicate, flavorful dumplings, beautifully presented.
The shrimp with celery in wonton skin (usually cold and fairly dismal) was served hot, and was an eye-opener. I think it was the cilantro in it that really brought forth the delicious celery flavor. And I don't generally think much of celery.
The turnip cake topped with tiny shrimp and scallions, was the best I've ever had - tall and caky with shreds of the turnip throughout, in a light soy broth.
I could go on and on, but instead I'll just urge you all to try it. They said they've only been open for dim sum about a month now. Yum!!!
