I want to send edible christmas gifts to friends and family as far away as San Francisco (I'm in New England).
I'm thinking about gingerbread men, and canneles.
I'm not too concerned about the gingerbread men - I was thinking about a tupperware or tin which seals completely. It's the canneles which worry me.They're so moist. If I send them totally sealed, will they get too sticky? Is there something I could put in the container to absorb excess moisture which would not totally dry them out?
I think I will do a test run - put them in a sealed container, leave for a couple of days to see - but I want to know what variations to test (one in a sealed container with some kitchen towel, one in a sealed container with nothing else, etc). any ideas for my test run? Thank you all...
