Thank you very much, everyone who responded to my Trader Joe's thread. I am currently sitting here eating Triple Ginger snaps and those peanut butter and chcolate oreo cookies. I also bought lots of the macaroni and cheese, roasted peppers, bruschetta mix, the vanilla almond cereal, and several boxes of Imagine soup.
A friend who went with me and our PA hostess stocked up on everything to set up her university kitchen- lots of mac'n'cheese, infused oils, EVOO, shelf-stable Indian food, Thai noodles, cookies, and many packages of ginger gummy bears.
I was very impressed. The prices were pretty good, the store was fun to shop in, and they had a really interesting selection. I would love it if they'd expand into Toronto- I think the chain would do very well here. And, you know, I could get chocolate coated strawberries and ginger gummies without having to drive so far.
We also visited the Reading Terminal Market, and ate lots of cheesesteaks. Unfortunately, we didn't get to either of the warring cheesesteak kings.
You have a lovely city, and some very beautiful stores. It was fun seeing the picture of our St. Lawrence Market on the Reading Terminal wall, too!
