P6 in Westlake -short review

snackish | Jun 24, 200408:23 PM

I ate a late lunch at P6 on Agoura Road in Westlake today.

They are definitely appealing to the upscale crowd - nice design work on the building, with walls of water, mid-century modern furniture and a nice patio with a large firepit.

The food was good but not "Call all your chowfriends" good - fresh, made on site, little bits from cultures all over the world. It was put together well but lacked that certain something that makes you say "Wow!"

I got a huge chopped Caribbean salad - romaine, hearts of palm, papaya and pine nuts - I skipped on the bay shrimp - with a soy-orange no-oil dressing.

They brought herb-sundried tomato bread, baguette, tapenade and marinated olive assortment with the meal.

The salad was $12. Appetizers were $6 to $12, Salads $10 to $14, dinners around $20-$25.

They also have pizzas, pasta dishes, fish, etc.
