I've read some postings about Hog Island, Johnson's, etc. for oysters in Marin. I've always wanted to take a ride over that way and have a bunch o' oysters. Which place do you think is the best? Who has the best variety? Is the olde wive's tale of only eating oysters in months with an "R" true or are they just better when the water is colder? What about farmed mussels? Do they do that in Marin? How do they compare with PEI mussels?
