oyster sauce

i have a bottle of vegetarian oyster sauce. 2 questions:

1. it it necessary to refrigerate after opening?

2. i bought a brand i've never purchased before, but past purchased oyster sauces (at least once refrigerated) get much more viscous than when first bought and become very difficult to pour. any easy way to deal with this?
