I happened to be walking on Clement bet 32 and 33 when I saw a new Japanese restaurant called Oyaji. It looked clean and beautiful inside, and it was closed. Then I looked at the menu, and realized it was not only beautiful and closed, but familiar.

Pain in the Ass roll. Mondai nai roll. Long-time fans (like me) of the old Saji in the Marina know that these menu items can only mean one thing: Hide, who sold Saji to new management about a year ago, must have opened a new place. ("Oyaji" has a bunch of nuanced meanings including "father" and "uncle," but "that weird older dude" is probably most appropriate here.)

Has anyone been there yet? I couldn't tell if it was open for business yet. Please alert me if anyone has posted on Oyaji already -- I searched and found nothing.

The big question: Did he bring the personalized masu ("masu keep") with him??? I forgot to look behind the counter.
