Overwintering container fruit plants

DonnaMarieNJ | Nov 20, 201605:28 AM

I live in New Jersey and have several blueberry, raspberry and blackberry plants in small containers. Most of these plants are very young. Should I leave them outside all winter? Put them in the unheated garage (with very little light)? Should I cut them back? Do I water at all? NJ winters can be bad. I'm afraid the freezing temps might kill the roots through the thin plastic pots. Yet if I put in the garage, there is little light and the door often freezes closed and I can't get in until there is a thaw, if watering is needed.

Last night we had sleet - now I'm afraid to go outside to look :(
