Overpowering Flavors-Apples

So I just bought some tamarin/chamoy apples. They're delicious, but the flavor is too powerful for the rest of my family. Does anyone have any tips on how to balance out the flavor? I was thinking about chopping it up and baking it in a scone.

For everyone not familiar, tamarin/chamoy is a sort of sweet and spicy chile flavor used in Mexican recipes!
