Overdosing on food

I'm glad RW is almost done, I'm in a food coma and don't dare get on a scale. Last nite was Fleming's Steakhouse which was pretty good. And definitely the most calorie laden meal. We had a nice server but he bordered on smarmy. I love the feel of a dark woody steakhouse and if we'd gotten a banquette, it would have been perfect (not lucky with seating this week). There were choices of two salads for apps., entrees of NY strip sirloin, chicken, salmon or double thick pork chop and one major chocolate dessert. I had a nice glass of chardonnay and 3 people split a great shiraz, one drank fancy tequila and we had a decent bread basket. The caesar was the best I've had in a while with nice shaved parm. The other salad looked good too.

We made it easy for him and all got steak ordered either medium or med. rare. Mine was definitely less than medium but I didn't feel lke dealing with sending it back for 30 seconds. Good flavor to the steak altho some bites were chewy. On the side were cheesy potatos and a choice of asparagus w/ hollandaise or creamed spinach. Who knows how many calories were in the spinach and potatos. I really liked the flavor of the spinach but it was a too soupy consistency and they could have de-cheesed the potatos. Warm chocolate cake w/ ice cream was very good but we were all feeling a little stuffed at that point. Glad I tried the place but I should have walked back to JP.
