I need to make a decision on the appliances for a new kitchen.
Because of the design of the kitchen, what I easily have room for is a wall-stack of ovens and a separate 36” rangetop or cooktop.
I’d welcome comments on the following:
For the wall ovens, what I think I want is (from bottom to top) warming drawer, oven, and microwave. I have wanted a warming drawer for a long time and think I’ll get more use out of that than a second full oven. But I also think I’ll miss my second oven occasionally, so I’m considering having the microwave be a combo with a convection oven/Advantium. Here’s where I might need to consider brand availability: I don’t really care about matchy-matchy appliances (the dishwasher can be Bosch and the fridge LG, for example), but I think the wall ovens should be from the same brand/collection. Do you have any recommendations?
For the 36” cooktop - anything I should consider? I wanted a range top because I’d prefer the knobs to be on the front - then I saw the price difference, haha! It looks like I can get a decent cooktop for as little as $1000, and rangetops start at $3000. I think I’d rather spend the extra $2k on upgrading to the warming drawer and convection microwave.
