Before "Otello" at the MET Friday evening, we dined at Ouest with another couple and we all pronounced the evening a winner. The service was friendly, warm, and down-to-earth. The noise level was never loud. Portions were plentiful from the beet salad appetizer for me and friend, fois gras salad for another, and cauliflower & lobster mousse for another, to the entrees -- chicken with mashed potatoes for me, roasted cod with prosciutto, scallops for another, and roast leg of venison for another.
We shared a vanilla panna cotta and pumpkin creme brulee for the table.
