My family, including my husband who lived in Rome as a 10 year old (in 1960), ventured out today to this spot recommended by Josh Mittleman.
It is called Sapori d'Italia but the sign on the road is only for the Ossining Pizzaria. Means Flavors of Italy. My husband declared it Authentic, which is high praise.
Among the three of us we had banana, lemon, blueberry, peach, gianduja (chocolate and hazelnut) and stracciatella (chocolate chip) plus I had an iced Americano coffee (freshly brewed espresso over ice). This looks like a perfect place for hanging out for a lazy afternoon.
We'll definitely be frequenting this place.
