Ive been to ortolan several times and had a wonderful experience each time..The presentation and food of chef eme is amazing, so I have to disagree totally with the LA mag review that the writer complains of too much effort and detail. since when is a place making an effort to be unique such a bad thing. You cant please everyone I guess. I am also a fan of bastide and l orangerie, I just think Ortolan stands out as over-the-top. But in a good way. ps I love, love, love the decor.
