Orta in Pembroke not good

MAhasbadfood | Jan 9, 201102:14 PM

I went to Orta in Pembroke Saturday night. We started with a stuffed eggplant appetizer and rice balls. Both were sub par. The eggplant was chewy and the rice balls were flavorless. We had a glass of Cabernet before the main course came. It was extremely bland. One of the worst glasses of wine I have had in MA ever.

I had a gnocchi dish for the main course and my wife had a butternut squash ravioli dish. The gnocchi had some kind of pesto sauce. I think pesto is one of the most flavorful sauces out there. Somehow Orta was able to remove all flavor from the dish. Quite a feat in my opinion.

I tasted my wife's ravioli dish. Somehow the flavor was removed from there as well.

The atmosphere was nice and the service was great.

Overall I give it a C-. If the waiter was not so nice I would have given it a D.

I would have been better off going to Burger King. I don't even like Burger King but at least I would have gotten what I expected.

I don't care what anybody says on this site. I will never go back to Orta.
