New Orleans Restaurant Review

alex70 | Apr 25, 201801:56 PM     1

I had my best dinner at patois. I think they make the best gumbo in the city. Also I had chicken stuffed with crawfish which was amazing. Also the service was great. Skip desert. I was just so so.

I ate at Clancy's which was great. I did not like my main coarse, but my crab salad was great. I really love it there and my friend's main course of scallops was great.

I really do not like Merils-bad atmosphere and bad food. The food had no flavor. I had a boudin tamale which sounded great, but it was flavorless. The tuna lettuce cups were really bland as were the deviled eggs. I had great deviled eggs at Clancy's. Skip it.

I had oysters at dragos. I thought they were great. Really you don't need to get more than 1/2 dozen. Their gumbo was really bad though.

I ate at the palace cafe on Canal. I would skip that too. The crab cheese cake was too rich and the shrimp roumelaude was really subpar. It's a tourist attraction.

I went to camelia grill. I had a burger and fried. They really hammered my burger. I like going there, but this time my burger was bad. The pecan pie is always great!

My regret is not going to Geatrues which I will do next time. Also Brightsens is always great.

Also I had gumbo at Herbsaint which was great and all the other food looked great. The service and atmosphere was really nice too.
