I grew up loving the original Rosoff's Sauerkraut. Then it disappeared from the stores for a while.
The bottles being sold as Rosoff's Sauerkraut now do not taste like the original.
The current ones are too salty & not as sweet. They are not the same product, just the name is the same. According the 'The Pickle Book' by Susie Rosoff, the family sold the R&S Pickle Company to Hebrew National back in the 1980s.
Does anyone know the recipe, or even the ingredient list from the original sauerkraut? Or know of a recipe that tastes like it?
I really miss my childhood favorite & would love to taste it again.
Thanks in advance.
