Original Pizza in Oviedo

My husband and I ate at a wonderful little pizza joint in downtown Oviedo on the corner of Central Avenue and Broadway. It's called Mad Hatters Uncommon Pizza.

Here is a link to their website

Just to give you a sampling of what we ate:

Garlic knots (which were actually shaped like knots for a change) and a medium thin crust Greek Hatter pizza. It consisted of: roast chicken, fresh spinach, artichoke hearts and fresh garlic topped with provolone and mozarella. The cost of the pie was $18.99....and we have four slices to eat tomorrow for lunch.

The shop seems to do mostly carry-out and delivery services as there were only five or six small tables in the restaurant and just one cashier/waitress on duty. A few behind-the-scenes staff came made an appearance here and there, so it seemed that if dine-in business picked up, it would not be difficult to have extra help.

I have been eyeing this place for quite a while and am very glad we made the drive to try it. I highly recommend it to anyone who is up for a change to their usual pizza experience.
