Ordering What You Want at A High End Restaurant

jcattles | Jun 4, 2008 07:43 PM

Is it inappropriate to order exactly what you want at a high end restaurant, or should you order an entree? While dining out recently, all I really wanted was french onion soup and french fries, Not knowing if it was a faux pas, I went ahead and ordered steak frites, but hardly ate the steak. I did order wine and dessert, but would've been happy with just the soup and fries. What would you do?
