As of yesterday, Trader Joe's on Campbell has bags of hatch chilies in the freezer section.
Roasted?
I bought some of these this morning (at TJs on Campbell in Tucson). They are roasted, peeled and chopped and sold in 24oz packs. Looked like the rather inferior packs you can get on-line, not well peeled, there are bits of skin and lots of seeds included. Having said that, they pack some heat, at least medium, and have a really good flavor, a very nice surprise! I was then shopping at Sprouts on 1st Ave and saw similar packs in their freezer section, some marked hot, others mild. Didn't buy any but perhaps should have done to compare quality. They might be the same processor, branded for each store.
