Opinions of Sam Lok -- Sichuan Cuisine in SF Chinatown?

nja | Mar 17, 200405:15 PM     1

I'm wondering if any hounds have opinions of what's good and not so good at Sam Lok, the Sichuan restaurant in SF Chinatown.

During my one visit there, with no experience in Sichuan cuisine to serve as a benchmark, I had the following impressions:

Good: Couple's Delight, Sliced Pork Stomach in Chili Oil
Okay: Cucumber Salad
Not Good: Dan Dan Noodles, Chili Fish with Bean Curd.
(Details in link)

Reviewing older posts confirms some of those impressions and adds:
Good: Ma Po Tofu, Fish and Preserved Vegetable Soup
Okay: Steamed Pork Ribs with Rice Flour

Any other menu suggestions?
