Has OpenTable changed their filters?

hunger8struck | Oct 22, 201703:42 PM     3

Headed back to NYC for some solo dining soon. I have no qualms about eating out alone and prefer a decent, although not break-the-bank meal. Just noticed today, however, as I tried to secure a few reservations for a "party of one" that I kept getting the "nothing available around this time" message. So then I got curious and inputted "party of two" for the same day, same time, same restaurants and wouldn't you know - every imaginable time slot was suddenly available. Two other restaurants offered a 5:30 or 5:45 p.m. time slot for party of one but for party of two, again a bevy of time slots were available.

Has Manhattan suddenly declared war on solo diners? I don't recall this happening in the past.
