Omakase Etiquite - calling ahead

I would like to take a guest to an expense account lunch at a sushi bar. My budget, however, there is a limit on my budget and I would prefer to not discuss that in front of my guest. Is it appropriate to call ahead and tell the restaurant that we will be coming in for omakase but the budget is $X?
