While on a recent trip to this area, I discovered the very ugly but wonderful Forks Coffee Shop in Forks, WA. The food is fresh and comfortably delicious (portions are huge). The salad bar alone is enough for dinner, but sadly they've never heard of leaf lettuce in these parts! The first night I had huge, pan fried oysters from the nearby Hood Canal (best I've ever had). The next night I truely wanted seafood again, but was won over by the special (BBQ Baby Back Ribs) for 12.95 (comes with salad bar). The ribs were wonderful and lean. The fries are as good as McDonald's.

Now for the problems with this place:

1. the wait staff is overworked here, and customers suffer
2. it truely is ugly
3. the soups on the salad bar need work
4. the side dishes tend to be overcooked and uninteresting

Would I come back? I had 2 dinners here, and 2 breakfasts, and YES, most certainly!

PS - the pie here is homemade, they serve huge pieces, but need to warm them before serving (ALSO QUITE GOOD!)
