On several recommendations from this board, my wife and I went here for Valentines. The place certainly was in the holiday spirit with a special menu, flowers etc. However, there was a huge crowd and it appears that these people are not used to this large number of people. We had to wait for a table, the waiter was rushed and ill informed about the menu, apoligizing every other trip to the table, but seemingly not able to catch up all night.
That said, the food was quite good. We had two specials with a salad in a nice dressing, the ravioli appetizer was very tasty, although the mushrooms over toast was below par. My entree of filet aux poivres was very tasty and tender. The pepper sauce was just the right combination and there was a basil garnish that made an interesting contrast with the sauce. My wife had the fish that was suffused with green and red pepper (to which I am alergic) so I can only repeat her complimentary views. The desserts were good but far from spectacular. All in all food B+, service C-, even making allowances for the crowd.
