Olives at W Union Square review

Celebrated my 9th wedding anniversary at Olives inside the W Union Square on Park Ave. last night..Fabulous! again.

We had eaten there several times in the past few years, always a great meal. I had requested a corner booth in my reservation and it was granted. Great people watching and romantic spot.

I had the shaved artichoke salad. Sounded strange, but was delicious. Never had anything like that. Very light and crispy and tasty. Husband had the lamb spare ribs. He was raving.

For dinner, I had my heart set on their signature Olives tart, but it was remvoed from the menu. I asked our server and she said the chef would make it. It was fabulous. A giant flatbread topped with all types of olives and fontina cheese and onions. Heaven... Husband had the BBQ short ribs.

For dessert we split the peanut butter molten cake. Wow..They also surpised us by bringing it out with a candle and Happy Anniversary written on it.. I had only mentioned it during my reservation.

Just a great night. Olives has become our favorite restaurant in the City. Great food, consistently, great atmosphere and service. Highly, highly recommend it.
