Restaurants & Bars

Stopped at Backflip for an early evening drink before dinner, but the bar didn't open until 9. The guy at the front desk recommended Olive (Sorry, it might be Olives. I'm not entirely sure.) on Larkin @ O'Farrell. Said it was an old Korean mafia joint that had been redone. They do drinks and small plates, and the menu looked interesting. Because we had dinner plans, we saved our appetites, but I plan to check it out again soon, so if anyone has been there and has recommendations, please share. Everything that came past looked and smelled really good. Some clean, light pub grub, so to speak. Pizzas with crusts so thin they almost looked like tortillas, some interesting salads, lots of good smells. Some specialty drinks as well, with lots of fresh mint going into the mojitos. They've only been open three months, but it seems they've got a good crowd going. A little hipper-than-thou for my tastes, but what the heck. Check it out.
