Just coming back from a 2-day weekend trip to Boston and based on what I've read here and elsewhere, my girlfriend and I wanted to give Oleana a try. We called on staturday afternoon and got a 9:30 rservation. When we got there, we were promtly seated and were lucky enough to have a table on the patio. Our server was incredibly nice and friendly and took time to answer every question we had. We started off by sharing the carrot puree with egyptian spices mix which was really nice with delicious bread. The puree itself is still chunky with some olive oil. That's a good start. Then we shared the day's apetizer recommanded by our server wich was balls of seasoned ground pork topped with parmesan and bathing in a light cream of basil. Very tasty and reminiscent of pesto. That's something I'll try to replicate at home. My girlfriend went for the lamb and I chose the chicken. Not fond of lamb myself, I found it to be really good and well cook with just te right amount of charbroiled. My chicken in a crispy mix of spices and sesame seed was out of this world altough I couldn't finish it while the turkish cheese omelette in filo dough was excellent and perfect with the chicken as the arugula. We shared the devilishly delicious baked alaska for dessert and felt ready to roll away. This was an overall tremendous experience and next time we're in Boston, we're coming back for sure.
