Too much oil/pesto mix with noodles- can it be saved?

lshh83 | Dec 18, 201408:53 PM     5

Hi There,

I was short on time tonight, an opted to boil a 16 oz. bag of spinach noodles, and stirred up one of those instant sauce packs (Knorr, pesto). Due to the amount of noodles, I decided to mix up TWO pesto packs, and it ended up being way too much.

My boyfriend and I forced down a small bowl each, but it is too heavy due to the amount of oil, and the pesto flavor overpowers the noodles.

Are there any cooking methods I can perform to "burn off" the oil/pesto sauce and salvage the noodles? Or, any ingredients I can add to create a brand new, edible dish?

Throwing away a pot of noodles, albeit an inexpensive loss, does not sit well with me.

Thanks,
Lauren
