I am a (first time) visiting L.A. area chowhound who is doing a favor for a friend. On the way to London, he will be stopping over in Chicago for probably no more than 45 minutes to an hour or so. Hearing me rave about the Chowhound.com message boards so much, he asked me where he could get the best hot dog while waiting to transfer flights.
So, how about it -- good, Chicago-style hot dogs in and around the immediate vicinity (no driving) of O'Hare Field -- is this a possibility?
Although I was born in Evergreen Park in '63, we moved to California when I was three. And California is where we would make our home. Still, Chicago is in my heart and I look forward to returning someday for the first of many nice, long vacations. How lucky you guys are to be surrounded by all that wonderful food, such a beautiful city and so many wonderful people!
So how about it, Chicago 'hounds? What's the good word?
