Octopus...method and madness...

I typically make Octopus by boiling it first, then I marinate it in good olive oil, garlic, s+p-- then we grill it on a hot grill til it chars just a little-- sprinkle a little fresh lemon and we are done and delicious- I want to make it for Christmas- but we live in MA- and getting to the grill can be challenge- plus if you ever boiled Octopus-you know it can smell bad-not what I want on Christmas eve- my thought was to boil it a day ahead- put it in the fridge in the marinade and what do you think about placing it under the broiler?
