I recently subscribed to the six o'clock scramble newsletter (www.thescramble.com) at the suggestion of a friend. For several bucks a month, you get 5 recipes a week, plus a grocery list. As much as I love pouring over my cookbooks and cooking elaborate feasts on the weekend, weeknights lately have been takeout, cold cereal or whatever doesn't actually run away from me in the fridge. I need to lose weight and save money, so I thought the six o'clock scramble recipe mailer might help me do both.
The recipes look decent, but I haven't actually tried any yet. Has anyone tried this service? Do the recipes meet Chowhound standards?
