O2 is in the storefront formerly occupied by Ovio -- it's even run by the same owners (O2.... get it?). So it was nice to get back in the old space and see what was happening. I was a bit surprised that at 8:30 oon a sat eve theere were plenty of tables to be had, but perhaps folks have yet to be hipped to the new venture. Whatever. I was happy to grab a table.
Drinkies: thee redhead enjoyed a mojito which, she enthused, "one of the best evah!". I had a tanq and tonic, also most refreshing. Beer (had a maritimee red with din) and wine list look about the same from the old Ovio. A good thing.
Apps: Split a bowl of clams which were just about perfect. Lotsa garlic, tarragon, butter and wine.
Entrees: Thee redhead went with the prawns in an orange brandy glaze. I thought this dish might be too sweet, to cloying, but the spicin was light and worked well with the orzo it rested upon. I oped for the salt and pepper porkchop. Resting on sticky rice and baby bok choy, it was garnished with just a bit of hosin. Man, this was tasty!
Service: Pretty OK. Little bit of room for improvement here.
Value: A bit more than $50 for all the above. Pretty great, that.
