New York is pretty much food paradise, with a few notable exceptions - i.e. good Mexican food, Thai food and soul food exist but are very difficult to find. Where do we need to eat in Philadelphia? What kind of stuff does Philly have to offer that New York does not? I'm thinking odd historical locations, general quirkiness, or some sort of ethnic cuisine that is more prevalent there than in New York. I'm also thinking dirt cheap to relatively inexpensive, unless there's something pricier that I really wouldn't want to miss. Frankly, in New York, I'm less often disappointed by a ten dollar meal than by a hundred dollar one, though, and pretty often am blown away by something new I find for a buck sold by a street vendor. Suggestions, anyone?
