NYE Feedback - Triumphs or Disasters?

Curious if anyone had particularly memorable or disasterous meals on NYE? Perhaps expectations were lower with it being another "amateur night" but some good food must have been out there in the DC area.

And it's always good to know what restaurants maintain their quality on event nights.

I had an excellent (first) meal at Ceiba. Large portions and a 3+ course menu made for two very full and happy customers. Ceviche sampler was the most popular item on the menu and for good reason. Tuna, grouper, bass, and shrimp. I had the Yellowfin Tuna for a main course but the best part of it was on top and beneath: a single coconut shrimp, fried to perfection, and the fufu mash. Carmel popcorn to munch on while you waited for the check was a very nice touch. Overall, the service was excellent, even a little too fast. They had warned us that the meal would last for at least two hours, but we were served and done in just over an hour. They must have hired tremendous additional help. I don't think the same person came to our table more than once. An enjoyable experience overall and a restaurant I would like to try again on a "normal" night.
