Had a really pleasant experience at The Paramount on Wednesday with my boyfriend. We didn't have any solid plans for dinner, mostly because we didn't want to spend $$$... Somehow we ended up walking down Charles Street after watching the fireworks, and we saw The Paramount! Neither of us had ever been, but I hear that they have excellent breakfast/brunch. Is that true? Anyway, it's a tiny place, so we had to wait about 30-40 mins for a table, which was no problem. We started with Maryland Crabcakes, which were served with a mixed green salad with corn and balsamic dressing and a yummy garlic aioli for the cakes. These were very simple but good, a nice start to our meal. I ordered the chicken piccata for my entree, while my bf ordered the mussels, which were served in a tomato/red wine sauce and linguine. The mussels were delicious, but my piccata was a bit too lemony for my taste... Still, a good meal all around. I wanted desperately to have dessert, but we were both way too full to even try. Maybe next time!
