What is your go to NYC Malaysian?

chefdekoven | May 1, 201710:49 PM     55

Hey I was just curious where people think the go to Malaysian place is in NYC right now. I have tried Sentosa, PappaRich, Taste Good Malaysian, and most recently Pilau Penang. Curry Leaves and the Haianese Chicken specialist in Elmhurst are on my list to try soon. I am sure it may be somewhat dependent on the dish perhaps? Really liked elements of the dishes I had at Penang. The Prawn Mee had excellent shrimpy broth (definitely better than Sentosa) ,and veggies, but felt the proteins were a little lacking. Also the flavor of the Shredded Beef with Bamboo Shoots was very good, with a nice wokky flavor, but there was definitely more oil than I would like. Anyway would love any input, and ordering suggestions. I hope this is not considered too vague a post.
