NYC Hound needs help with long SF weekend

Alex | Mar 27, 200611:06 AM     12

I'm coming to SF for work and staying a few extra days for pleasure. I have a few spots already set, but would appreciate assistance on rounding out my dining schedule. I'm staying near the Civic Center but plan to eat at least one meal in Berkeley/Oakland.

Already planned:
Breakfasts at Canteen and Tartine
Vietnamese lunch at Tu Lan
Dim Sum lunch at City View (if you have a better rec for cheap, good dim sum in downtown SF than City View, please let me know)

Need recs for:
1. one fairly nice dinner anywhere in downtown SF (I'm ideally looking for something I can't get easily in NYC, so no upscale Italian please.) I've heard good things about Aziza and Quince--any thoughts?

2. cheap, authentic tacos for lunch (bonus points if I can walk or take a single bus there from the Civic Center area)

3. a reasonably-priced (under $50pp) dinner in Berkeley/Oakland area.

thanks in advance...
