Thanks chowhound for all your good tips. As in a recent posting, August was our best dinner, beautiful, elegant setting and food to match. Got a table immediately downstairs NYear's Eve @ Galatoire's, another highlight with festive mood and great seafood. Brigstens and Peristyle filled out our evenings with great if slightly less memorable dinners. Lunch at Mother's included fab ham with biscuit though the place felt a tad touristy. Another treat was the jazz brunch at Palace Cafe with fine Shrimp Remoulade and other more breakfasty fixins.
